Hot Babe of the
Week this week is courtesy of our very good friend Paolo Maglio!
Paolo contributes often to Twobobs. Not only is he a fantastic
modeler but he is also the designer of many of the special paint
schemes you see on Italian aircraft. Thanks very much Paolo! The
Diana scheme is coming soon to a Twobobs sheet!
Teri and I
hope you were all able to take the long Memorial Day weekend and
spend it with your families. While it's a great opportunity to kick
up your feet, BBQ with friends and family and partake in some
margarita, the day holds a special spot for us being that Teri and I
are a military family. Teri still works out at Edwards AFB and I
work for a defense contractor so we are still very connected to our
military brothers and sisters.
I separated in 2004 after 11
years in the AF and I know I will never have a job or career that is
more important than my 11 years serving our country. I'm sure all of
the international folks that get this newsletter have a similar day
where you take the time to honor your military members that paid the
ultimate sacrifice to defend what your country holds to be honorable
and important. Our hats off to you as well.

The
photograph above is a custom that we have in the military that we do
during Combat Dining In/Out. Every Combat Dining In has a POW/MIA
table that is set up with the finest china and cutlery. There is one
empty chair that represents the POW/MIA. We all raise a glass and
toast to our fallen brothers and sisters who could not be there with
us during this event as we partake in a warm meal and a hearty
drink. We salute you. The text below is read during the ceremonial
toast to the POW/MIA table.
You may notice this small table
here in a place of honor. It is set for one. This table is our way
of symbolizing that members of our profession of arms are missing
from our midst. They are commonly call POW's or MIA's…we call them
brothers.
They are unable to be with us this evening and so
we remember them.
This table set for one is small... it
symbolizes the frailty of one prisoner against his
oppressors.
The table cloth is white... it symbolizes the
purity of their intentions to respond to their country's call to
arms.
The single rose displayed in a vase reminds us of the
families and loved ones of our comrades in arms who keep faith
awaiting their return.
The red ribbon tied so prominently on
the vase is reminiscent of the red ribbon worn on the lapel and
breasts of thousands who bear witness to their unyielding
determination to demand a proper accounting for our
missing.
A slice of lemon is on the bread plate... to remind
us of their bitter fate.
There is salt upon the bread
plate... symbolic of the family's tears as they wait.
The
glass is inverted... they cannot toast with us tonight.
The chair
is empty... they are not here.
Remember... all of you who
served with them and called them comrades, who depended on their
might and aid, and relied on them... for surely... they have not
forsaken you.
Hope all of you had a good Memorial
Day.
Well you folks obviously know a good value and accuracy
when you see it because our F-5E Gomer sheets are selling like
crazy! That coupled with the additional sheets that we've added to
our Clearance section has made for one busy week here at Twobobs.
Thanks very much to all of you for your patronage!

OK
fellas, last "craniums up" to all of you. Our very last distributor
orders for our Buckeye kit have left our shores and that means, we
are very close to "kaput" on our remaining Buckeye inventory here in
the US. If you're here in the US, Canada or Mexico, the Buckeye
bucket is just about empty!
