12 July
2009Droppin' the "411" for this week at
Twobobs!
What's
New This Week!
Big
newsletter tonight guys! Lots of news and images so let's get right
to it!
New Hot Babe of the Week is up courtesy of Twobobs. CO jet
from VMFA(AW)-225. These are courtesy of Daniel Perezvertti. Please
respect the copyright.
I've received some test shot pieces of our new Buckeye kit.
They're just the basic large parts that depict the major structure
of the aircraft. Nothing significant that I can show right now since
these parts are far from being "complete". Just something that was
sent out to me to show status of the kit.
I hesitate to show
these images to the mass populace since it would not be an accurate
represenation of the finished product. This is all part of the deal
when it comes to tooling a new kit. Lots of gates you have to go
through before you reach the final represenation. Trust me guys,
this thing is going to be a super kit and I can verify to everyone
that the overall measurements and dimensions are spot on when
compared to the real thing. THAT I was able to verify by the major
structural pieces. Can't wait!
Decals
In Work!
Let's
"flip the script" a little and get some instruction sheet images up.
Here's what's coming as far as our next batch of releases that will
be part of our Nats release group. There's more coming in addition
to these but here's a little primer.
The
instruction sheet images above represent the markings that will come
with the two kits we are releasing. All the images below are of the
aftermarket sheets that are part of our regular monthly releases.
There's a couple of decal sheets that will be debuting at
the Nats as well that I'm close to finishing instructions on. These
are below and I'll post instruction sheet images when they are done.
The VFA-115 sheet features the new CAG scheme for their
squadron and I've included the jets from one of our releases back in
2001 right after OIF kicked off. All the great nose art and mission
markings from that era are included and all of these markings have
been resized for the Hasegawa/Revell kit. The resizing was pretty
substantial when I redid this artwork, such is the difference
between the older Italeri kit and the newer generation Hasegawa and
Revell kits.
The CAG jet features markings for both the
intake and exhaust. You can get those accessories from Steel Beach.
This USMC sheet features a couple of very colorful (for
Marine jet anyways) CO schemes from the Death Dealers and Death
Rattlers. The tank marking for the Death Rattlers sheet is not shown
here but will be included in a four-color process insert. I've also
thrown in some Litening II pod markings in there for you guys that
choose to include those on your model.
So that adds up to
nine sheets debuting at the Nats along with two additional sheets
that will make up the IPMS Nationals Decal Sheet. Been a busy last
couple of months artwork wise. I've already started work on the post
nats decals and I'll be knee deep into those once we get back from
the convention.
Two of the sheets that will be part of that
release are T-2C Buckeye related to include the Hellenic,
Bi-Centennial and VF-43 Adversary scheme. Just ran out of time to
finish those completely but they'll be available in short order
after the Nats.
