Droppin' the "411" for this week at Twobobs!
25 October 2009
What's
New This Week!
New Hot Babe of
the Week is up. Another installment from the 2009 Edwards Air Show.
This time we're looking at a Block 50 D-model Viper. The ACAT FRRP
jet is used by NASA/Dryden to develop both ground collision and
air-to-air collision technology.
I've finished decal sheet
artwork for the next round of eight and I'll talk to those
below.
We've added some more sheets to the Clearance Sale
section of our site! All Zotz and MAW decals have been discounted
25% and we'll be running this sale until they're all gone. Take
advantage while you can folks! We simply do not have enough room to
carry all of these 3rd party sheets any longer. Great product but
not enough room over here in Casa Twobobs. Look for these products
at the manufacturers site or through other hobby
retailers.
We
were informed by our buddies in the Czech Republic that sprue pics
as well as resin cockpit pics will be in my Inbox this coming week!
I'll communicate those one through the newsletter as soon as we get
them!
Decals
In Work!
K
fellas, hook it up! Another round of releases are ready to go to the
printers!
Since the Saudi Eagle markings are pretty generic,
I ended up with a lot of left over real estate on that sheet. Dug
around the archives and realized that we've never released the
Operation Anaconda Strike Eagle markings in 72nd scale. One of the
most historically important set of markings from the current war on
terror so this release is well warranted.
The
Press to Test Viper sheet above features the F-16D Block 50 that's
this week's Hot Babe as well as a couple of snazzy orange/white test
birds. We've done the orange/white's previously but felt the need to
redo them for a couple of reasons. These are both single seaters
(never been done) and I felt it important to capture an Ex-Paki jet
before everyone forgets about this chapter in AFFTC
history.
84-307 is a Block 25 that was previously a Vermont
ANG aircraft and 92-0407 is a former Paki Block 15 OCU aircraft.
With all the various versions of Viper kits out there, we went ahead
an put both the Tamiya and Hasegawa sized IFR and ECS markings on
the sheet. The Kinetic kit markings will be there also in an insert.
I find it difficult to keep up with the mix and match of Vipers out
there nowadays but there's enough markings on this sheet so you can
size this guy up to the whatever combo you happen to have.
We
continue to work on the KC-135 sheets. As previously stated, that
guy has turned into a monumental project that's taking a while to
get done. It's coming guys! Hang tight!
News
on 3rd Party Friends of Twobobs!
Xtradecal
sheets continue to dwindle down at $5.00 each and now we have all of
our MAW and Zotz stock at 25% off. Get em while you can!!
You
folks have a great week!!
