Droppin' the "411" for this week at Twobobs!

What's
New This Week!
Sorry for the late
newsletter this week guys. I've been under the weather for the last
few days and actually stayed home from work today as I try to
recover. Being sick sucks...
New Hot Babe of the Week is up.
Another jet this week from VFA-125. This is their Green Hornet jet
and is the subject of a forthcoming sheet from us. Thanks to Kelly
Voyles for the pics!
We continue with the Clearance Sale on
our remaining stock of MAW and Zotz Decals. 25% off until they're
gone fellas! Some sheets have already sold out!
OK folks,
more Buckeye news!! Pics below of the production tooling and a
couple of pics of sprue shots! We continue to inch along with the
release of this kit and sitting here right now, I'm pretty confident
that this kit will be out by Christmas. A long way from August I
know and again I apologize; doing the best we can over here! I'm
completely satisfied with the way the test shots and tooling are
looking however! Good stuff!! br>
Decals
In Work!
K
fellas, hook it up! Another round of releases are ready to go to the
printers!
Since the Saudi Eagle markings are pretty generic,
I ended up with a lot of left over real estate on that sheet. Dug
around the archives and realized that we've never released the
Operation Anaconda Strike Eagle markings in 72nd scale. One of the
most historically important set of markings from the current war on
terror so this release is well warranted.
The
Press to Test Viper sheet above features the F-16D Block 50 that's
this week's Hot Babe as well as a couple of snazzy orange/white test
birds. We've done the orange/white's previously but felt the need to
redo them for a couple of reasons. These are both single seaters
(never been done) and I felt it important to capture an Ex-Paki jet
before everyone forgets about this chapter in AFFTC
history.
84-307 is a Block 25 that was previously a Vermont
ANG aircraft and 92-0407 is a former Paki Block 15 OCU aircraft.
With all the various versions of Viper kits out there, we went ahead
an put both the Tamiya and Hasegawa sized IFR and ECS markings on
the sheet.
Below
are three more sheet images of sheet 48-208 F-100C Skyblazers. This
guy is almost done and I'll need a fourth sheet to finish it off but
you can see how it's shaping up. Back when I was statioined at
Wright Patterson AFB in 1993, I did a lot of research on the
Skyblazers waiting for someone to release a C model Hun. With the
Trumpeter release, I finally have a reason to leverage all the
references as well as the help of a handful of other folks against
this important subject! This one will be a pricey one but we'll try
to keep the price down to an affordable level. Multiple options of
multiple years with all the little tweaks between the jets will be
captured on this sheet. The fourth sheet will capture the 1961-62
jets with their different nose markings etc.
