The 31st Fighter Wing from Aviano AB, Italy is assigned to the United States Air Forces in Europe and is the only US fighter wing south of the Alps. This strategic location makes the wing an important component that supports operations in NATO’s southern region.
Along with the 31st Wing, the 510th and 555th Fighter Squadron painted three of their jets in commemorative “Heritage Schemes” during 2023/2024. These paint schemes commemorate various historical aspects of the units past.
This decal sheet contains markings for all three aircraft. With the supplied stencils, there are enough markings to build two complete aircraft.
Stencils included are for the Tamiya kit but major markings can be used on the Kinetic and Hasegawa kit as well.
